Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure Project

Location: Swansea
Contract: Temporary, 6 months 
Rate: £400–£450 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30 — 40 hours per week
IR35 status: Inside IR35 — Umbrella or CIS 

Construkt RS is currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a busy infrastructure project based in Swansea.

This is a hands-on commercial role working closely with site and delivery teams. The successful candidate will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from subcontract procurement and valuations through to cost reporting and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and agreeing interim applications, valuations and final accounts
• Managing subcontract procurement enquiries, comparisons and order placements
• Managing subcontractor accounts through to close-out
• Completing measurement and take-offs from drawings
• Pricing variations and managing project change
• Administering NEC4 contracts, including early warnings and compensation events
• Maintaining accurate and contemporaneous project records
• Producing monthly CVRs and cost/value reports
• Identifying and reporting commercial risks at an early stage
• Working closely with site and delivery teams

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, infrastructure, civil engineering, utilities or rail
• Strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts
• Experience with subcontract procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts
• Ability to complete measurements and take-offs from drawings
• Commercially aware with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicating with site teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders
• Strong organisational and reporting skills
• Willingness to work closely with site teams and attend project locations as required
