Quantity Surveyor

Freelance Quantity Surveyor required to work on a large-scale civil engineering project in Teesside. The project covers a range of structures and general civil engineering works, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced freelance QS to join a major scheme.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management of the project, including valuations, applications for payment, cost reporting, forecasting, variations, procurement and final accounts. You will work closely with the project and commercial teams to ensure effective commercial control throughout the project.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within major civils/infrastructure projects
• Strong background in structures and general civils
• Experience managing subcontract packages and commercial accounts
• Good knowledge of NEC contracts and change management
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Available for a freelance assignment in Teesside

Remuneration:

• £500–£550 per day, dependent on experience
