About the role of Quantity Surveyor
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining a Main Contractor who have a turnover of nearly £50m and a commercial team of approximately 10 surveyors. Their work is predominately new build residential and housing schemes, using both RC Frame and traditional construction methods under JCT D&B contract. The project locations are across South London.
You will be working both collaboratively within a team and independently whilst reporting into a Senior Quantity Surveyor and continuing to develop
Key Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor
Include but not limited to:
- Identify cost risks and opportunities throughout the development process
- Prepare tender documentation
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing
- Manage subcontractor accounts from procurement to final accounts
- Monitor cash flow
- Produce monthly cost reports
- Track variations
- Administer construction contracts under JCT form
Key Requirements of Quantity Surveyor:
- Degree in a construction related subject
- Minimum of 4 years of surveying experience at a main contractor
- Ideally experience on residential schemes
- Live within commutable distance to South London
- Client facing experience
