Quantity Surveyor

Future Build Recruitment is working with a specialist cladding remediation contractor who is looking to add an experienced Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team.

The business operates as a principal contractor within the façade and building safety sector, delivering cladding remediation, façade replacement and external envelope projects across London.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor or principal contractor background to join their commercial team.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial delivery of projects from procurement through to final account. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors and the wider commercial function to ensure projects are delivered successfully.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial aspects of cladding remediation and façade projects.
• Managing subcontractor packages from procurement through to final account.
• Preparing valuations, variations and cost reports.
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
• Working closely with project teams, clients and subcontractors.
• Managing commercial processes within a Building Safety Regulator (BSR) environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor or principal contractor.
• Experience managing projects from procurement through to final account.
• Strong experience managing subcontractor packages.
• Background working on cladding remediation, façade, external envelope or similar specialist projects.
• Understanding of commercial management within a construction environment.
• Ability to manage multiple packages and work closely with operational teams.

This role would suit a Quantity Surveyor who has worked within a main contracting environment and is looking to move into a specialist principal contractor delivering complex façade and building safety projects.
