A growing and well-regarded Professional Quantity Surveying consultancy based in Glasgow city centre is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding team. With a strong pipeline of work and an impressive portfolio of projects across Scotland, the business has built a reputation for delivering high-quality cost consultancy services across a range of commercial sectors.
The consultancy is involved in a diverse mix of developments, including office refurbishments, industrial facilities, distilleries, and hotel projects, with typical project values ranging from £15m to £40m. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team that is committed to developing its people and promoting from within.
Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, providing professional cost management and quantity surveying services to a varied client base. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders while building long-term relationships and contributing to successful project delivery.
The role offers excellent exposure to high-profile developments and the opportunity to broaden your experience across multiple sectors while developing your commercial and client-facing skills.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Around 3+ years' post-graduate Quantity Surveying experience
- Consultancy or client-side experience is desirable
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage your own workload and take ownership of projects
- MRICS status, or a genuine desire to work towards and complete the RICS APC
