A well-established and highly regarded residential developer is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its Commercial team, nr Chester

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of high-quality residential developments, supporting the commercial delivery of projects from inception through to final account. The successful candidate will play a key role in cost control, subcontract management, valuations, forecasting and reporting, while working closely with operational and finance teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and profitably

The Role

• Scheduling and quantifying materials and labour
• Managing subcontractor accounts, payments and variations
• Producing valuations, CVRs and cost-to-complete reports
• Monitoring project budgets and reporting on cost movement
• Assisting with WIP and cashflow forecasting
• Maintaining commercial systems and project records
• Attending site meetings and carrying out regular site visits
• Supporting the preparation and management of development budgets
• Ensuring commercial procedures and processes are followed throughout project delivery

About You

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role
• Strong understanding of construction costs, budgets and forecasting
• Strong IT skills and commercial awareness
• Excellent numerical, negotiation and organisational skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Professional, motivated and ambitious
