We're looking for a proper builder's QS.

Our client needs someone who can walk onto site, earn respect quickly and take ownership of projects from day one.

This isn't a corporate environment where everything is handed to you. You'll be trusted to manage your own schemes, make commercial decisions and protect profitability.

We're looking for someone who's practical, commercially aware and isn't afraid of hard work.

The role

• Managing projects from tender through to final account.

• Running your own jobs independently.

• Procurement and subcontract management.

• Cost reporting and forecasting.

• Managing variations and valuations.

• Building strong relationships with operational teams.

• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.

• Finding ways to improve margins and save money.

We're looking for someone who is

• An experienced Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor.

• Used to running projects independently.

• Commercially sharp.

• Confident making decisions.

• Personable and easy to work with.

• Resilient and able to cope with a fast-paced environment.

• Practical rather than precious.

• Happy to get involved and support the wider team.

• Smart, organised and driven.
