Ivy Resource Group are working with a well-established contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a permanent role based in Wolverhampton. You will be overseeing a diverse portfolio of commercial projects including schools, hospitals, colleges, universities and leisure centres.

The Role:
Managing the commercial and financial aspects of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Preparing and reviewing cost plans, budgets, estimates and tender documentation.
Managing subcontractor procurement, including tender analysis, negotiation and appointment.
Preparing, reviewing and agreeing interim valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
Identifying and managing variations, compensation events, risks and potential commercial issues.
Reviewing subcontractor applications, valuations and variations to ensure accuracy and contractual compliance.
Supporting the preparation and negotiation of commercial agreements and contracts.
Working closely with project managers, site teams, clients, consultants and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, company procedures and relevant construction legislation.
The Ideal Candidate:
Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline.
Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement and commercial processes.
Good knowledge of subcontractor procurement and commercial management.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
Commercially aware with a strong focus on cost control, value and risk management.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider project team.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Understanding of health and safety, sustainability and quality requirements within the construction sector.
Salary & Package:
£60,000 - £70,000 per annum + £5,500 car allowance
