Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor (Housebuilding) – West Drayton
Salary/Package: £65,000 – £75,000 + Travel/Car Allowance + Private Medical + Pension + Discretionary Bonus + Annual Leave
O’Neill and Brennan are currently working with a leading main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team, working on a portfolio of high-quality housebuilding developments based from their West Drayton office.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and financially secure contractor with an expanding workload across London and the South East. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial delivery of residential developments, with the opportunity to take ownership of projects and progress into a lead commercial role as the business continues to grow.
You will be joining a supportive and experienced commercial team with genuine long-term career prospects, offering the chance to develop into a Senior Quantity Surveyor and beyond.

Responsibilities:
- Procuring and commercially managing subcontract packages from procurement through to final account
- Preparing subcontract enquiries, tender analysis, negotiations and recommendations for award
- Managing subcontractor payments, valuations, variations and final accounts
- Assisting with cost reporting, CVRs, forecasting and monthly commercial reporting
- Working closely with site management, design and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities whilst maintaining strong cost control throughout the project lifecycle
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chain
- Taking increasing responsibility for the commercial delivery of projects, with the opportunity to lead schemes as you progress within the business
Requirements
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within either a main contractor or housebuilding environment
- Previous exposure to housebuilding or residential developments
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ambitious individual looking to grow with the business and progress into a project lead position
- Able and willing to commute to West Drayton
