Quantity Surveyor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join one of the UK's leading RC Frame/Groundworks contractors.
Established for almost 30 years, our client has built an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality Groundworks, RC Frame, Civil Engineering and Infrastructure packages across London, the Home Counties and the South East. 

The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial management of RC Frame/Groundworks projects from inception through to final account.
Key duties will include:

• Preparation and submission of interim valuations
• Cost reporting, forecasting and budget control
• Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers
• Valuation and agreement of variations
• Contract administration
• Management of project cash flow
• Preparation and negotiation of final accounts
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
• Working closely with operational teams to maximise project performance

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' Quantity Surveying experience
• Ideally experienced in Groundworks and/or RC Frame projects
• Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred)
