Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a professional and growing construction company delivering high-quality commercial construction projects. This is a commercially focused role requiring a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can manage project costs, maximise value, and ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

Qualifications

Essential:

Proven Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry

Strong knowledge of cost control and budgeting

Excellent commercial awareness

Strong analytical and negotiation skills

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable:

MRICS or equivalent professional qualification

HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management

Experience using CostX, Bluebeam or equivalent estimating software

Knowledge of NEC and JCT Contracts

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and financial forecasts for construction projects.

• Monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure budgets are maintained.

• Carry out regular site visits to assess progress and verify completed works.

• Manage tendering processes, including evaluating quotations and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.

• Prepare valuations, variations, final accounts and commercial reports.

• Monitor project cash flow and identify potential commercial risks.

• Work closely with Project Managers and Site Managers to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.

• Maintain accurate financial records and project documentation.

• Analyse project variations and prepare supporting documentation where required.

• Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.

• Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality standards.

• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.

• Undertake any additional commercial duties as directed by the company.

Requirements

As Quantity Surveyor, you will also be expected to:

• Deliver accurate commercial reporting throughout each project.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

• Maintain excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.

• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time.
