Your Role
You'll be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple construction packages, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects remain profitable while maintaining high delivery standards.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing project costs, valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Procuring subcontract packages from tender through to appointment.
- Producing monthly CVRs, forecasts and commercial reports.
- Administering contracts, primarily under JCT forms.
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting site teams to ensure projects are delivered on programme and within budget.
This role would suit a Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of projects while continuing to develop their commercial expertise.
You'll ideally bring:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or equivalent industry experience.
- Between 3 and 7 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
- Previous exposure to main contracting or specialist subcontracting environments such as RC frame, basements, refurbishment or fit-out.
- A good understanding of JCT contracts and commercial management principles.
- Strong communication, negotiation and reporting skills.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to manage your own workload.
