Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who employ over 2,000 and deliver leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centres, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently looking for Quantity Surveyors to join them on a Data Centre Project in Milan, Italy.

The Ideal Quantity Surveyor Will Be Responsible For:

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) scopes based on design drawings and specifications.
• Monitor and control project costs related to MEP works, ensuring alignment with the approved budget and financial targets.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations, assess variations, and negotiate pricing to achieve cost-effective solutions.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of interim payment applications and final accounts for MEP subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to manage changes and assess their impact on cost and schedule.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify quantities and progress, ensuring accurate measurement and valuation of MEP works.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all cost-related documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and variation orders.
• Support risk management by identifying potential cost overruns and recommending mitigation strategies during the project lifecycle.

You Will Need:

• A Professional Qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• A minimum of 5 years commercial experience.
• A wide understanding of subcontracts.
• The ability to negotiate with clients and subcontractors on a professional level.
• An EU Passport may be required for this role.
