Quantity Surveyor – Planned Maintenance

An established property services contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, working on a long-term framework delivering planned maintenance and refurbishment works across London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team working on a long term framework, with a strong pipeline of works across a number of London boroughs. 

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of works from initial procurement through to final account.

  • Managing the commercial performance of planned maintenance contracts.
  • Preparing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
  • Managing variations, costs and commercial risks.
  • Producing CVRs and regular commercial reports.
  • Managing subcontractor accounts and payments.
  • Working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered commercially and efficiently.
  • Monitoring project performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Supporting procurement and supply chain management.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensuring works are accurately measured and valued in line with contract requirements.
  • Working extensively with Schedule of Rates.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in planned maintenance, property services, social housing or refurbishment.

  • Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within property services or a similar environment.
  • Strong Schedule of Rates experience is essential.
  • Experience managing commercial performance across multiple workstreams.
  • Strong understanding of valuations, variations, subcontractor accounts and final accounts.
  • Good commercial and contractual knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong Excel and IT skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with operational, commercial and client teams.

Experience working on long-term frameworks, social housing or council-led programmes would be highly advantageous.
