Quantity Surveyor in Woodford

A leading property services and construction contractor is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team, working across a significant programme of works.

The business has a strong pipeline across both Council and housing association programmes, providing an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking for a stable, long-term role within the property services sector.

The Role

Working as part of the commercial team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day commercial management of allocated projects and contracts.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing project costs and commercial performance
• Preparing valuations, applications and payment assessments
• Managing subcontractor accounts
• Supporting procurement and subcontractor negotiations
• Monitoring budgets, forecasts and project expenditure
• Preparing CVRs and commercial reports
• Managing variations and additional works
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Working closely with operational teams, clients and subcontractors
• Supporting projects through to final account

About You

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with experience within property services, maintenance, refurbishment, social housing or a related construction environment.

You will ideally have experience with:

• Planned maintenance or refurbishment
• Social housing / local authority contracts
• Framework contracts
• Subcontractor management
• Valuations and variations
• Cost control and forecasting
• CVRs and commercial reporting
• Final accounts
