Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team, specialising in high-end residential refurbishment projects. The successful candidate will be commercially astute, highly organised, and capable of managing multiple live projects simultaneously while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on bespoke, luxury refurbishment schemes and wants to play a key role in delivering exceptional projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed measurement and take-offs from drawings and site information.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and valuations.
• Produce interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Manage the commercial aspects of multiple projects at the same time.
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages.
• Review and negotiate subcontractor quotations.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, and profitability.
• Identify and manage commercial risks throughout each project.
• Work closely with project managers, site teams, clients, and design professionals.
• Ensure projects remain within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Prepare regular commercial reports for management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Strong background in high-end residential refurbishment projects.
• Excellent measurement and valuation skills.
• Experience managing several projects concurrently.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard quantity surveying software.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Desirable

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Membership of RICS or working towards chartership.
• Experience with luxury residential or heritage refurbishment projects.
