Quantity Surveyor in Luton, Bedfordshire

Quantity Surveyor - Luton (hybrid) - Up to £80K depending on experience

As part of our clients growth, we are recruiting for them an experienced Main Contractor Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis.

You will work closely with a project management team and take commercial ownership of projects valued up to £15m, managing everything from procurement and cost control through to change management, monthly CVRs and final accounts.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the commercial management of projects from inception to completion

• Managing subcontract procurement, packages and accounts

• Producing monthly cost reports and CVRs

• Managing variations, change control, risks and opportunities

• Preparing client applications and managing payment processes

• Reviewing contracts, programmes and potential delays/disruption

• Negotiating with clients, consultants and subcontractors

• Maintaining strong commercial and client relationships

About you:

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant contractor-side experience

• Proven experience running projects as the commercial lead

• Strong subcontract procurement and commercial management experience

• Good working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts

• Experienced in producing monthly CVRs and cost reports

• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills

• HND, degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

• Full, clean UK driving licence
