Quantity Surveyor

£50,000-£65,000 + Package

We're recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a growing electrical and building services contractor delivering commercial M&E projects across London and the South East.

This is a hands-on commercial role, taking responsibility for project costs, valuations, variations, subcontractor accounts and final accounts while working closely with Project Managers and senior commercial staff.

• Manage the commercial performance of electrical and M&E projects
• Prepare valuations and applications for payment
• Manage variations and change control
• Review subcontractor quotations and payment applications
• Support procurement and subcontractor appointments
• Monitor project costs, budgets and margins
• Produce cost reports and forecasts
• Assist with contract administration and commercial risk
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Support final accounts and project close-out

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or building services
• Ideally from an electrical, M&E or specialist subcontractor
• Strong commercial and numerical skills
• Good knowledge of valuations, variations and subcontract accounts
• Confident dealing with clients and project teams
• Strong Excel and general IT skills
• Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management qualification preferred

This is a strong opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who wants to take real ownership of projects and develop within a growing contractor.

Long-term progression into Senior Quantity Surveyor → Commercial Manager → Commercial Director.
