THE OPPORTUNITY
We are recruiting a permanent Quantity Surveyor to join our Glasgow team, working on infrastructure and construction projects for a range of clients. You will provide commercial and cost management support from pre-contract through to final account, with real scope to grow your career with a respected commercial consultancy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare cost plans, estimates, bills of quantities and tender documentation
- Manage subcontract and supply chain procurement, tender evaluation and award
- Carry out valuations, applications for payment and cost value reconciliations (CVR)
- Prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts
- Assess, price and negotiate variations, change and compensation events
- Support the preparation and agreement of final accounts
- Administer contracts under NEC and JCT forms
- Work closely with project managers, engineers and clients to protect value and manage commercial risk

ABOUT YOU
Essential:
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor on infrastructure, civils or construction projects
- Working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 and/or JCT contracts
- Strong measurement, valuation and cost reporting skills
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Right to work in the UK and a full driving licence

Desirable:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar, or MRICS / working towards chartership
- Experience in rail, highways or energy
- Experience with commercial software and Excel
