Salary:
Paying between £20.43 - £22.99 per hour PAYE
R&D scientist role:
- Create and refine new experiments, following and improving protocols to ensure robust, accurate data.
- Follow protocols for sophisticated assay methodologies, ensuring accurate laboratory records and documentation.
- Analyse and interpret results to provide actionable conclusions and strategic recommendations.
- Champion laboratory excellence by maintaining meticulous records and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field combined with industry experience is required.
- Proven knowledge of diagnostic immunoassay technology and the ability to follow or improve complex experimental protocols.
- Strong computer literacy and data analysis skills, with a track record of delivering accurate results on time.
- Excellent communication skills, specifically in writing technical documentation and laboratory records.
- Experience with particle-based immunoassays, fluorescent detection, whole-blood assays, and working within GMP/GLP/GDP or biohazard environments is preferred.
