Radio Remote Controls Technician We are looking for someone that could ideally develop into the role listed below as its unlikely we would fill the role at this point. We therefore require someone who has some experience in dealing with industrial radio remote control systems, understands the protocol, how systems work and have enough knowledge to fault find. We are quite happy to provide extensive product training to the right person in order to get to where we need to be. Position Overview once trained and qualified The Radio Remote Controls Engineer is responsible for the specification, design, integration, build, testing, and delivery of all radio remote control systems produced by the company.

This role oversees the full workflow of all projects—from initial quotation support through to final system commissioning—while also managing workshop operations and providing technical leadership to workshop staff. The engineer ensures that all systems meet required specifications, safety standards, and project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities System Design & Engineering

• Produce complete radio remote control system designs, including schematics, layouts, and component specifications.

• Develop and define control philosophies, wiring diagrams, and PLC/HMI configurations where required and supported by other engineering staff.

• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal quality requirements.

• Maintain and develop in-depth knowledge of relevant products, standards and integration methods to support system-level design decisions.

• Develop knowledge of other electrical disciplines Build & Test

• Oversee and participate in the build, configuration and commissioning of radio remote control systems, including technical evaluation of legacy systems and customer support activities where required.

• Conduct system testing, fault-finding, and validation to ensure full functionality prior to dispatch. • Maintain accurate test records and ensure all documentation is completed to a high standard.

• Support in the repair, test and or servicing of Atos proportional products Quotation & Technical Support

• Provide detailed technical input for quotations, including component selection, estimated build hours, and system design considerations.

• Support the internal and external sales team by clarifying technical requirements and advising on feasibility or design options. • Improve individual and company knowledge of products within this range. Workshop Operations & Staff Oversight • Oversee day-to-day workshop activities related to remote builds.

• Provide detailed technical input for radio remote control systems, including Hetronic integration, life cycle support and system-level optimisation.

• Provide guidance, training, and technical support to workshop staff.

• Ensure safe working practices, adherence to company procedures, and a clean, organised workshop environment.

• Ensure that target delivery and completion dates are met, working with other Teams to ensure customer expectations are met. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all systems meet internal quality standards and customer specifications. • Maintain compliance with electrical safety regulations and company policies.

• Drive continuous improvement in design, build processes, and documentation.

• Establish and maintain design and integration standards for radio remote and associated electronic systems. Company

• Improve knowledge on other electrical areas of the business that can support the development of the radio remote and electronics business.
