We are currently seeking experienced RCS Mechanical Supervisors / Technicians to support a major nuclear outage project in the UAE.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled mechanical professional with proven nuclear outage experience to join a critical maintenance team responsible for Reactor Coolant System (RCS) maintenance activities within a world-class nuclear power generation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and perform mechanical maintenance, inspection, overhaul, testing, and repair of Reactor Coolant System (RCS) equipment.
- Lead and coordinate mechanical technicians to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with outage schedules.
- Carry out maintenance on RCS components, including pumps, valves, piping, flanges, supports, and associated mechanical equipment.
- Perform dismantling, inspection, refurbishment, reassembly, alignment, and functional testing using approved procedures.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear safety, quality assurance, Permit to Work, LOTO, FME, and radiation protection requirements.
- Monitor work progress, provide technical guidance, resolve mechanical issues, and support outage planning and reporting.
- Liaise with client representatives, planners, quality personnel, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Promote a strong nuclear safety culture while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and quality.
Essential Requirements
- Previous outage experience within an operational Nuclear Power Plant environment.
- Proven experience as an RCS Mechanical Supervisor or Senior Mechanical Technician.
- Strong experience working on Reactor Coolant System (RCS) and associated primary-side equipment.
- Experience with Reactor Coolant Pumps (RCP), Steam Generators, Pressuriser systems, Air Operated Valves (AOV), Motor Operated Valves (MOV), and rotating mechanical equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance, fault finding, alignment, bolting, flange management, and equipment refurbishment.
- Familiarity with nuclear work packages, quality documentation, inspection hold points, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership, team management, and excellent English communication skills.
Working Conditions
- 8 hours per day, 6 days per week.
- Pre-outage working schedule of approximately 40–48 hours per week, depending on project requirements.
- Overtime available during outage periods where applicable.
- Accommodation, meals, transportation, and single occupancy accommodation provided on site.
Contract Details
- Assignment duration of approximately 2–3 months.
- Potential for extension based on project requirements and performance.
- Mobilisation anticipated from August 2026.
