Reach Truck Driver / Warehouse Operative

Location: MK41, Bedford, Bedfordshire
Pay Rate: £14.60 - £18.73 per hour + Overtime
Shifts Available:  Late Shift (2:00pm – 10:00pm) / NIght Shift (10pm-6am)
Rota: Any 5 days out of 7 (including weekends)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Our client is currently experiencing a period of significant growth and is looking for experienced Reach Truck Drivers / Warehouse Operatives to join their expanding warehouse team in Bedford. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking for a long-term role with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating a Reach Truck safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
• Picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch.
• Loading vehicles accurately and ensuring orders are dispatched on time.
• Moving stock around the warehouse safely.
• Using warehouse management systems to update stock and order information.
• Reporting any issues, damages, or discrepancies.
• Following company procedures, quality standards, and health & safety policies.
• Working as part of a team to achieve warehouse targets.

Candidate Requirements:

• Must hold a valid and in-date Reach Truck Forklift Licence.
• Previous experience working as a Warehouse Operative.
• Experience operating Reach Trucks in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to carry out manual handling duties, including lifting items up to 25kg.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills with colleagues and supervisors.
• Basic IT skills and experience using warehouse systems.
• Flexible and reliable approach to working shifts, including weekends.
