We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Fulwood, Preston.
Role OverviewAs a Reception Teaching Assistant, you will provide general classroom support, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment for young learners. You will work closely with the class teacher to support children's development across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities- Providing general classroom support within a Reception class
- Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework
- Assisting with the delivery of phonics sessions and early literacy activities
- Supporting children with speech and language development
- Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and social development
- Working with small groups and individual pupils to help them achieve their learning goals
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a relevant childcare or education-related qualification
- Have experience working within an Early Years setting
- Have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
- Have experience supporting children with speech and language needs
- Be confident supporting the delivery of phonics interventions
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be passionate about supporting young children in their educational journey
