Location: Macclesfield
Contract: Temporary, initially 3 months (potential to extend up to 6 months)
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00
Pay Rate: £12.71 - £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience)



Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Receptionist to join a busy organisation in Macclesfield. This is a full-time temporary position initially for 3 months, with the possibility of extension up to 6 months for the right candidate.

This is a front-facing role requiring excellent customer service, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment. Previous experience within a medical or healthcare setting would be advantageous but is not essential.



Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting visitors, clients and customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Managing the reception area and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors.
  • Answering and directing incoming telephone calls and responding to enquiries.
  • Booking, amending and cancelling appointments and meetings where required.
  • Providing information and assistance to visitors and customers.
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating internal databases and systems.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and post.
  • Liaising with colleagues and departments to ensure enquiries are dealt with efficiently.
  • Undertaking general administrative duties including filing, data entry and document management.
  • Supporting the wider team with ad hoc administration tasks as required.


Person Specification

  • Previous reception, administration or customer service experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and other computer systems.
  • Professional, approachable and customer-focused.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Previous experience within a medical, healthcare or professional office environment would be desirable but is not essential.
