Recovery Driver

Location: Crumlin
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 42.5 hours per week- 7:30am – 4:30pm
Rate of Pay:£34000 - £37,500 per year (DOE)

Purpose of the Role

The Company Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient collection of scrap and auction vehicles from private customers, garages, and vehicle recovery operators. The role involves professional lorry driving, direct customer interaction, and providing support to day-to-day operations within the yard and office as required. A flexible approach, strong work ethic, and professional attitude are essential.

Suitable candidate will be required to drive our 3 car tilt and slide recovery vehicle and occasionally our 6 car transporter.

Must have good geographic knowledge of Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

The following list outlines the main duties of the role but is not exhaustive:

• Carrying out lorry driving duties, including vehicle collections and deliveries
• Collecting scrap and auction vehicles from private customers, garages, and recovery operators
• Contacting customers to confirm collection times, locations, and access requirements
• Ensuring the company lorry is washed, cleaned, and maintained to a high standard
• Assisting office staff with organising and coordinating vehicle collections
• Handling cash safely and responsibly when required
• Providing general support within the yard during quieter periods
• Completing all paperwork, collection notes, and obtaining customer signatures accurately
• Adhering to all company policies, safety procedures, and legal requirements

• Well presented and professional in appearance
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Sufficient English-speaking abilities
• Clean driving licence -Class 2 and up to date CPC
