Recovery Worker

Location: Ashford

Salary:  £26,000 per annum

We’re looking for a Recovery Worker to join our team in Ashford, working full time, 35 hours per week. Are you passionate about supporting people to make positive and lasting changes in their lives? In this role, you’ll support adults aged 18+ experiencing drug and/or alcohol-related issues, working as part of an integrated healthcare team to provide person-centred support.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing your own caseload and supporting clients throughout their recovery journey
  • Completing assessments, risk assessments and care plans
  • Delivering structured 1:1 interventions and group sessions
  • Providing harm reduction advice, guidance and practical support
  • Helping clients access housing, benefits, employment, training, healthcare and community services
  • Working closely with healthcare professionals, probation and partner agencies
  • Reviewing care plans and supporting positive outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate records and working towards service targets and KPIs

  • Someone who is empathetic, motivated and committed to making a difference
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to manage your own caseload and work independently
  • A collaborative approach to working with healthcare professionals and partner agencies
  • Good organisational skills and a proactive approach
  • A commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional development
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends and travel to other projects within your cluster, with reasonable notice
