Our client is seeking an experienced Recruitment and Onboarding Administrator to support a focused Right to Work and immigration compliance project within its People and Culture service.
The postholder will help ensure that employee records are accurate, complete and compliant with current Right to Work requirements. The wider job description places particular emphasis on compliant pre-employment checks, including Right to Work, sponsorship, DBS, occupational health and references.
### Key responsibilities
- Contact employees and complete compliant Right to Work checks using share codes and in-person document checks.
- Audit employee files to ensure Right to Work evidence is accurate, complete and current.
- Upload documentation and maintain accurate records on HR and applicant-tracking systems.
- Identify and resolve missing or incomplete Right to Work and sponsorship communications.
- Apply a working knowledge of UK Right to Work and immigration requirements.
- Maintain audit trackers and spreadsheets, recording actions and outstanding information.
- Check that relevant sponsorship changes have been recorded on the Sponsor Management System.
- Manage the Right to Work mailbox and respond to queries from employees and managers.
- Send standard letters, reminders and template communications.
- Support the development and standardisation of processes and guidance.
- Handle personal information in accordance with data-protection requirements.
### About the ideal candidate
The successful candidate should have:
Previous recruitment, onboarding, HR administration or compliance experience. Practical experience completing Right to Work checks. Knowledge of sponsored-worker processes and the Sponsor Management System. Strong attention to detail and the confidence to identify compliance gaps. Good written and verbal communication skills. Experience managing shared inboxes and responding to employee and manager queries. Strong Excel, Microsoft Office and record-management skills. The ability to organise a high-volume workload and meet deadlines. Experience using applicant-tracking or HR systems. GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent Functional Skills qualifications.The clients person specification also asks for knowledge of recruitment and onboarding legislation, effective workload management, stakeholder relationship skills and experience of working within a large or complex organisation
