Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 + Commission
Job Type: Permanent, Monday–Friday
Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm with flexible start and finish times
Working Pattern: 3 days office / 2 days home

The Role

D7 Recruitment is looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team in Castleford.

This is primarily a 180 recruitment role, focused on sourcing, engaging and placing Health & Safety professionals into permanent and contract positions across the UK and international markets. There is very little cold sales or business development, allowing you to focus on recruitment, candidate relationships and delivering a quality service.

You’ll work closely with an established Health & Safety consultancy, supporting recruitment requirements across the UK, Europe, Australia, Africa, the Far East and the US, as well as a range of clients across construction, engineering, energy, consultancy and property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source Health & Safety professionals using LinkedIn Recruiter, CV databases, Bullhorn and other recruitment tools.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates for current and future vacancies.
  • Review CVs and conduct candidate interviews.
  • Assess candidate suitability against client requirements.
  • Manage candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Keep candidates informed and engaged from initial contact through to placement.
  • Develop long-term relationships with candidates.
  • Complete relevant compliance, right-to-work and qualification checks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client contacts.
  • Understand recruitment requirements and provide suitable candidates.
  • Keep clients updated throughout the recruitment process.
  • Develop your knowledge of the Health & Safety recruitment market.
  • Proactively engage with professionals across the sector.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts.

  • Genuine interest in recruitment and working with people.
  • Good listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow structured processes.
  • Previous recruitment, talent attraction or resourcing experience is desirable.
  • Construction, engineering or built environment recruitment experience is advantageous.
  • Must live within a commutable distance of Castleford and be able to work in the office Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
