A bit about the role

During your training, you'll learn the ins and outs of recruiting, including how to source candidates, conduct screening calls and negotiate job offers. You'll also become familiar with the various tools and technologies used in the industry, such as applicant tracking systems and job boards. You'll begin working on real recruitment assignments as your training progresses.

The role is predominantly telephone based and you will be expected to make and answer a high volume of calls.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sourcing candidates via job boards, LinkedIn, networking, referrals and the company database
  • Reviewing CVS and assessing candidate's suitability for positions
  • Building effective relationships with candidates, understanding their needs and discussing relevant roles with them
  • Generating leads from interactions with candidates and keeping up to date with market news
  • Actively networking with candidates and industry connections to gather information
  • Reference checking
  • Creating and placing adverts onto job boards and social media
  • Keeping accurate records, ensuring the database is continually updated with all information relating to candidates and clients

What training will you get?

You will be gaining a Level 2 in Customer Service, you will receive full on the job training and support. Time will be given during your working hours to complete all studies.

You will be provided with comprehensive training and support throughout your 12-month apprenticeship period. This includes:

  • Fully funded NVQ Level 2 Customer Service Qualification
  • Functional skills development in English, math, and ICT (if applicable)
  • Employability skills training
  • Workshops and training sessions, face to face and online
  • Tutor-led workplace assessments and ongoing support

What is the expected career progression after the training is complete?

Opportunity to secure a permanent position as a Recruitment Resourcer within the organisation after successful completion of your 12 months training. With further training and support we’d expect you to be able to progress into a Recruitment Consultants role within 2-3 years.

Throughout your career as a recruiter, you'll have the opportunity to continually develop your skills and knowledge through ongoing training and professional development programs. With hard work and dedication, you can build a successful career in the exciting and fast-paced world of recruitment.

No experience or qualifications are required, however the following attributes are essential:

Additional Information  

Job Type: Full-time, would consider Part-time for right candidate

Monday – Friday, hours and availability can be discussed at interview

Salary: National Minimum Wage

Work Location: In person, Caerphilly based office
