Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Recycling Operative to join our environmentally conscious team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting, processing, and managing recyclable materials in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities

• Sort and separate recyclable materials according to company standards and safety protocols.
• Operate recycling machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Assist in the maintenance and basic troubleshooting of mechanical systems used in the recycling process.
• Load and unload recyclable materials, often involving heavy lifting.
• Ensure the work area remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor the quality of recyclable materials to prevent contamination or processing errors.
• Follow all safety procedures diligently to minimise risk during operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience or knowledge of mechanical systems is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and handle manual tasks involving lifting or moving heavy objects.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
