Recycling Operative

• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks to move and sort recyclable materials efficiently.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate machinery, ensuring safe handling of heavy items through proper lifting techniques.
• Conduct cleaning and sanitation of work areas to maintain a tidy and hazard-free environment.
• Assist with waste collection and disposal processes, supporting sanitation efforts across the facility.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Support manufacturing or recycling operations by sorting materials accurately and efficiently.
• Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to operational procedures.

• Proven experience operating loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, or garbage trucks in a manufacturing or recycling environment.
• Strong understanding of heavy equipment operation with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout the shift.
• Excellent attention to detail for sorting recyclable materials accurately.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina.
