Recycling Operative

About the Role

Multi Task Recruitment Solutions is currently recruiting Recycling Operatives on behalf of our client based in Whittle-le-Woods. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing recycling business that plays an important role in reducing waste and supporting environmental sustainability.

This is a hands-on, physically active role, ideal for reliable individuals who enjoy practical work and are looking for long-term employment with the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

The Role

As a Recycling Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the recycling facility, ensuring recyclable materials are processed safely, effectively, and in accordance with site procedures and health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking and sorting recyclable materials from conveyor belts
• Carrying out general labouring duties across the site
• Assisting with the movement and handling of recyclable materials
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
• Undertaking manual tasks including lifting, sweeping, and shovelling
• Working safely around plant machinery and operational equipment
• Following all site health & safety procedures and company policies
• Supporting the wider team to ensure production targets are achieved

Please note: This is a physically demanding role within an industrial environment. Candidates must be comfortable carrying out manual work and working in varying weather conditions where required.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for motivated and dependable individuals who:

• Have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Enjoy practical, hands-on work
• Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Are physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Are reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Have previous experience in recycling, waste management, production, manufacturing or labouring (preferred but not essential)

What's on Offer?

• Monday to Friday (weekly rotating shifts)
• Shift 1: 7:00am – 4:00pm
• Shift 2: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
• Temporary to Permanent opportunity
• Weekly pay
• Full training provided
