Refrigeration Engineer (Industrial & Commercial)

We're now looking for a skilled Refrigeration Engineer to join our team—someone who can install, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration systems while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

This is a varied, hands-on role offering stability, career development, and the opportunity to work with a close-knit team across a wide range of customer sites and projects throughout Scotland's Central Belt.

What you'll do:

  • Carry out the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime
  • Work on a variety of refrigeration and cooling equipment, including walk-in cold rooms, freezer stores, display cabinets, chillers, and air conditioning systems
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine inspections
  • Identify potential issues before they become major failures, helping customers maximise equipment reliability
  • Support installation, commissioning, and upgrade projects across multiple sites
  • Communicate professionally with customers, providing technical advice and recommendations
  • Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety legislation and F-Gas regulations
  • Promote a safe, clean, and organised working environment

What you'll bring:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Commercial or Industrial Refrigeration Engineer
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across refrigeration systems
  • Experience working with commercial refrigeration, chillers, freezer stores, and air conditioning equipment
  • Valid F-Gas Certification (essential)
  • Relevant refrigeration or HVAC qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
