Industrial Refrigeration Service Engineer (Will consider Transport)

East & West Midlands / South West | £40,000–£42,000 + Overtime + On-Call + Company Van

Are you an experienced Refrigeration Engineer looking to join a growing engineering business with genuine long-term career opportunities?

Due to continued growth, we're looking to recruit additional Service Engineers to support customers across the Midlands and South West. You'll be joining a specialist team responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial refrigeration systems used within food manufacturing, cold storage and pharmaceutical environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys fault-finding, working independently and wants to be part of a business investing heavily in its future.

The Role

As a field-based Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial refrigeration systems.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns.
  • Diagnosing electrical, mechanical and refrigeration faults.
  • Re-gassing refrigeration systems.
  • Brazing pipework and carrying out refrigeration repairs.
  • Uploading and updating control software where required.
  • Completing digital job reports via a mobile app.
  • Working closely with customers to deliver a high standard of service.

You'll primarily be working on industrial refrigeration equipment used within:

  • Cold stores
  • Blast freezers
  • Food manufacturing facilities
  • Food processing plants
  • Pharmaceutical environments
  • Temperature-controlled production facilities

We're looking to recruit engineers across a number of regions including:

Bristol / Bath / Swindon

South Wales

Telford / West Midlands

Guildford / Surrey

Kent

Portsmouth

East Midlands

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working on industrial or commercial refrigeration systems.
  • Engineers from transport refrigeration backgrounds will also be considered.
  • F-Gas qualification is essential.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Experience with brazing would be advantageous.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • A positive attitude and strong team ethic.

  • £40,000–£42,000 basic salary.
  • Company van, fuel card, phone and laptop.
  • Regular overtime (typically 10–15 hours per week).Time and a half during the week.Double time on weekends.
  • On-call rota (approximately 1 in 4 to 1 in 6) with additional large payment.
