Refuse Driver

Location: Brentwood
Pay Rate: £17.78 per hour PAYE
Hours: 37 hours per week
Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Temporary Ongoing

Lynx Employment Services are recruiting for an experienced Refuse Driver (HGV Class 2) on behalf of our local authority client in Brentwood.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional HGV Driver to join a busy waste and recycling team, helping to deliver essential environmental services to the local community.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
• Supporting refuse collection operations across the borough.
• Working closely with loaders and operational teams to complete scheduled routes.
• Ensuring compliance with road traffic legislation and health and safety procedures.
• Maintaining a professional and courteous approach when interacting with members of the public.
Requirements
• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience driving refuse collection vehicles or similar HGV vehicles is desirable.
• Good understanding of driver hours, vehicle safety and compliance requirements.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
