Our client, ISS, is seeking an experienced professional with a strong Facilities Management (FM) background, ideally with a Hard FM or technical bias, to lead multi-service teams within a small account environment.
This role plays a key part in ensuring high-quality operational performance across multiple sites, with a strong focus on compliance, service delivery, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for leading engineering teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and driving operational and commercial success.
The successful candidate will leverage their understanding of the customer’s business to create value, support contract retention, and identify opportunities for growth. This position requires strong leadership capability, effective communication skills, and the ability to balance operational excellence with financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full site operations, ensuring delivery against KPIs, SLAs, and service performance standards
- Own and ensure adherence to statutory compliance and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) across sites
- Ensure compliance with all operational, service, and HSEQ requirements, including safe systems of work
- Lead and manage the engineering team, including staffing structures and resource allocation
- Drive adherence to operational frameworks and service excellence standards
- Take ownership of cost control, including labour and resource utilisation
- Manage budgets and support overall profit and loss performance
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a management position within Facilities Management
- Strong FM background with a Hard FM or technical focus (engineering, maintenance, compliance)
- Experience managing multi-service teams within a small account environment
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
- Strong knowledge of HSEQ processes, including RAMS, SOPs, and COSHH assessments
- Understanding of ISO audits and compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both engineers and clients
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management capabilities
Additional Information
- Responsible for overseeing a team of 7 engineers
- UK driving licence required
- Hybrid working: 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home or travelling between sites (car allowance provided)
