Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Regional Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of integrated hard and soft facilities management services across a regional portfolio, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, budget control, and continuous improvement.
Job Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an established Regional Facilities Manager or a strong Facilities Manager/Senior Facilities Manager looking to take the next step into their first regional role. The position offers responsibility for a diverse portfolio of sites and the opportunity to lead service delivery across multiple locations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing operational teams, developing strong stakeholder relationships, and ensuring high standards of compliance, service delivery, and performance. The role requires a proactive leader who can drive continuous improvement while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction and commercial performance.
Location
This is a mobile role covering client sites across York, Scarborough, Newcastle, Longbenton, Penrith, Thirsk and a small landlord-managed site in Edinburgh.
Candidates can be based in Manchester, Cumbria, the Newcastle corridor, or the wider North West/North East region. Regular travel between sites is required.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of integrated hard and soft facilities management services, ensuring all services meet agreed standards and SLAs.
- Oversee planned, reactive, and scheduled maintenance activities across buildings, engineering systems, and assets.
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted service partner.
- Provide leadership and direction to regional teams, promoting service excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all health and safety requirements, compliance obligations, and safe systems of work are adhered to and embedded within team culture.
- Manage contract budgets, financial targets, cost controls, and service performance measures.
- Oversee recruitment, training, development, appraisal, and performance management activities across operational teams.
- Support contract mobilisations, including workforce transfers, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Person Specification
- Ideally experienced as a Regional Facilities Manager.
- Strong Facilities Managers or Senior Facilities Managers seeking their first Regional FM role will also be considered.
- Experience managing both hard and soft FM services is preferred.
- Confident reviewing, interpreting, and challenging statutory compliance reports.
- Comfortable engaging with technical and compliance-related matters within a highly technical environment.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and team development skills.
- Commercially aware with experience managing budgets, financial targets, and service delivery performance.
- Knowledge of recruitment, vetting, absence management, disciplinary procedures, and wider people management processes.
- Full UK driving licence required (car/car allowance).
