Regional Finance Manager – Exciting Opportunity
We are thrilled to be partnering with a well-known Educational Trust based in Southeast London to appoint a Regional Finance Manager on a permanent. The role is full time – 37.5 hours – and offering a salary of up to £50,000 per annum.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Ensure timely production and issue of financial reports, cash flow forecasts and returns as required, including ad hoc review and projects
- Prepare the management accounts and related analysis, posting of month end journals, ensuring bank and control account reconciliations are carried out monthly in line with the month-end pack
- Prepare the monthly financial reports, analysis and updates for the Local Governing Body (LGB) and present at the meetings where required
- Prepare the annual budget and reforecasts for approval by the Schools Risk and Audit Committee Take responsibility for the Schools accounting procedures, ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to within the academy, including review of academy payment runs and payroll
- Maintain finance filing systems, ensuring that records are suitable for audit purposes
- Take responsibility for and line management of the school’s finance support staff, including arranging appropriate training and development, conducting induction, probation and performance management review
- Support school and finance staff with purchase order and invoice processing as required
- Support the school Operations Lead to ensure goods and services are processed in compliance with current and relevant procurement legislation
- Partner with the Principal and other senior staff to ensure effective financial management, adherence to budget and strategic decision making
Experience required:
- Experience required in Education sector is strongly desirable
- Previous line management experience is needed for this role
- Experience using the Sage Intacct system is strongly desirable
Working hours:
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm
- Hybrid working is available in this role – one day per week
- They are also very flexible with the start times per day, as long as you are working by 9:30am
