The Role: We are recruiting for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join an established agricultural machinery business, covering the Forfar, Perth and Glenrothes area.
This is a hands-on, field-based sales management role where you will manage a team of 3–4 sales professionals while continuing to manage your own customer base and territory.
You will be responsible for driving sales performance, developing key customer relationships and supporting your team to achieve their targets, while remaining actively involved in sales yourself.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop a team of agricultural machinery sales professionals
- Manage your own sales territory and customer accounts
- Build relationships with existing agricultural customers and develop new business
- Carry out customer visits, demonstrations and sales negotiations
- Support the sales team with joint visits and coaching
- Monitor sales targets, margins, budgets and forecasts
- Oversee new and used machinery stock
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity
- Resolve customer issues and work closely with parts and service departments
- Liaise with manufacturers and key suppliers
- Strong agricultural machinery sales experience is essential
- Ideally, established relationships with farmers and agricultural businesses across the area
- Proven experience in agricultural machinery sales and delivering against targets
- Previous sales management or team leadership experience
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Confident dealing with customers at all levels
- Comfortable managing a team while continuing to be personally involved in sales
- Full UK driving licence
- Up to £65,000 basic salary
- Up to £15,000 commission/bonus
