Registered Building Inspector (Class 2D+) | North West

📍 North West | 💷 Up to £65 per hour | 📄 Outside IR35 | ⏳ 6 Months minimum (Likely 12 Months+)

We're working with a Local Authority in the North West that's looking to appoint an experienced Registered Building Inspector (minimum Class 2D) to join their Building Control team on a long-term interim contract. They are a Close knit and very supportive team.  We have had members in situ for over 2 years so always the possibility for extension.  You can work from home 2 days per week, no requirement to go into the office but you will be expected to go to site 3 days per week.  

The Role

You'll manage a varied caseload of Building Control projects, ensuring compliance with the Building Regulations while providing a professional and customer-focused service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections across domestic and commercial developments.
• Assess Building Regulations applications and plans.
• Manage projects from application through to completion.
• Provide technical advice to developers, architects, contractors and residents.
• Ensure compliance with the Building Regulations and Building Safety Act.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate records.
• Respond to dangerous structures and other Building Control matters where required.

What You'll Need

• Registered Building Inspector – minimum Class 2D.
• Local Authority Building Control experience.
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and current legislation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
