Registered Children's Home Manager- Buxton, Derbyshire

Peak Buxton, Derbyshire £48,000 - £55,000 + £3,000 Car Allowance + Bonus up to £8,500

We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a specialist two-bed children's residential assessment home in Buxton.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established provider of residential childcare services, supporting young people through a trauma-informed and therapeutic approach. The home offers immediate intervention, assessment and stabilisation, helping children develop resilience, confidence and independence within a safe and nurturing environment.

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered while maintaining full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards.

• Lead and manage the daily operation of the home
• Promote positive outcomes for children and young people
• Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are fully embedded
• Manage, support and develop the staff team through supervision and performance management
• Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation
• Monitor care planning, risk assessments and placement outcomes
• Build effective relationships with local authorities and external professionals
• Drive continuous improvement and service excellence
• Lead the home through inspections and regulatory requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in residential childcare within the last 5 years
• At least 12 months' experience supervising and managing care staff
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
• Previous experience supporting Ofsted inspections
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, childcare legislation and best practice
• Knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Right to work in the UK
• Must be aged 21+ due to industry regulations

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
• Previous Registered Manager or Deputy Manager experience
• Experience within therapeutic or assessment-based services
