Are you an experienced Children's Home Registered Manager looking for the opportunity to build and lead a brand-new service from the very beginning?
We are recruiting for a passionate, ambitious and child-focused Registered Manager to oversee the registration, launch and ongoing development of a new 4-bed children's residential home. About the Service
Our new home has been designed to provide a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for children and young people who may present with emotional and behavioural difficulties, alongside a range of additional needs. The service specialises in supporting young people with:
- Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
- Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
- Moderate and Severe Learning Disabilities
- Mild Physical Disabilities
The home's philosophy is centred around helping young people develop independence, confidence and life skills, enabling them to achieve their full potential and become valued members of their communities.
Operating from a beautifully refurbished, spacious property in a peaceful setting, the home offers an exceptional environment for both children and staff.
The Opportunity
This is much more than a Registered Manager position.
You will become the founding leader of a new service, working alongside a highly experienced Responsible Individual and supportive leadership team who are committed to investing in quality care and long-term growth. The organisation has plans to expand over the next 18-24 months, creating genuine opportunities for future progression and wider operational leadership.

- £800 - £1,000 monthly retainer during the Ofsted registration process
- £5,000 bonus upon successful Ofsted registration

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the home through Ofsted registration and opening
- Develop a positive, child-centred culture focused on outstanding outcomes
- Recruit, develop and lead a high-performing staff team
- Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Develop policies, procedures and operational systems
- Maintain strong relationships with local authorities, families and professionals
- Drive quality, occupancy and service performance
- Work closely with senior leadership to support future growth
- Mentor and develop future leaders within the organisation
About You
To be considered, you will:
- Have experience as a Registered Manager within an Ofsted-regulated children's residential service
- Hold, or be working towards, a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
- Possess a strong understanding of children's home regulations and Ofsted requirements
- Be a visible, hands-on leader who leads by example
- Be committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people
- Have strong recruitment, people management and team development skills
- Be proactive, solution-focused and commercially aware
- Have excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
