CDS Labour are currently working alongside a brand-new children’s home who are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and inspirational individual to become the founding Registered Manager of our beautifully furnished brand-new 4/5-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) children's home based in Burntwood.
This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the culture, values, and success of a new service from registration through to the opening and beyond. As the Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children can thrive and achieve positive outcomes.
As part of a successful and expanding residential childcare organisation, you will be fully supported by an experienced team of staff. who are all committed to providing a hands-on guidance throughout the registration process and operational journey.

The Role of Registered Home Manager:
•Lead the registration, opening, and day-to-day management of the children's home.
•Ensure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements.
•Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and child-centred environment that promotes positive outcomes.
•Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement processes, including Regulation 45 reports, audits, action plans, and responses to Regulation 44 visits and local authority assurance inspections.
•Monitor incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns, performance indicators, and outcomes for children.
•Develop and implement care plans, therapeutic approaches, and programmes that support children's emotional, educational, social, and physical development.
•Recruit, induct, supervise, develop, and motivate a high-performing staff team in line with safer recruitment practices.
•Ensure staffing levels, training programmes, and evidence-based practice support the delivery of outstanding care.
•Build positive relationships with children, families, local authorities, commissioners, schools, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
•Promote a culture of safeguarding, accountability, and continuous improvement.
•Manage budgets, administration, reporting, and operational processes effectively.
•Represent the home professionally at meetings, reviews, and multi-agency forums.
What we need from you:
•Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised qualification).
•Relevant qualification recognised by Ofsted.
•Minimum 1 years’ experience in a management or leadership position within a children's residential setting.
•Strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements.
•Extensive knowledge of safeguarding legislation, child protection procedures, and best practice.
•Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
•Full commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
•Full UK driving licence (preferred).
