The Opportunity
We're recruiting for an experienced Children's Registered Manager to lead a well-established 5-bed Learning Disabilities (LD) children's home in Lancaster.
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's leading specialist childcare providers, delivering high-quality residential care for children and young people aged 8-18 with learning disabilities and complex needs.

The Role
As the Registered Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the home, ensuring children receive outstanding care in a safe, nurturing and structured environment.
You'll oversee all operational, safeguarding and compliance responsibilities whilst creating a positive culture for both young people and staff.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing the day-to-day operation of the home
* Maintaining full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards
* Leading, mentoring and developing the staff team
* Recruiting, inducting and retaining high-quality staff
* Developing individualised care plans for each young person
* Promoting excellent safeguarding practice
* Managing budgets and ensuring commercial performance
* Working collaboratively with families, local authorities and multidisciplinary professionals
* Leading care planning meetings and statutory reviews
* Managing complaints and safeguarding concerns appropriately
* Driving continuous improvement across the service
* Working towards achieving and maintaining an **Ofsted Good or Outstanding** rating

About You
We're looking for an experienced children's residential leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.
You'll have:
* Previous experience as a Registered Manager or experienced Deputy Manager ready to register
* Minimum 2 years' experience within children's residential care
* At least 1 year in a management or supervisory role within the last 5 years
* Level 3 or Level 4 in Children's Residential Care (essential)
* Level 5 Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (preferred) or willingness to enrol within 6 months
* Strong understanding of:
* Children's Homes Regulations
* Quality Standards
* SCCIF Framework
* Safeguarding legislation
* Experience supporting children with Learning Disabilities and complex needs
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Good financial and budget management ability
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Full UK Driving Licence
