Registered Manager

Salary: £49,000–£56,500 plus up to £16,000 annual bonus

Bright Selection is recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead the turnaround of an eight-bed children’s residential home supporting young people who have experienced childhood trauma.

This service requires a confident and resilient manager with excellent safeguarding knowledge who can provide strong leadership, drive regulatory improvements and safely return the home to full operation. The successful candidate will be supported by an experienced Regional Operations Manager and Senior Registered Manager.

The role will include:

• Leading the turnaround and day-to-day management of the home
• Implementing and maintaining robust safeguarding practices
• Driving the home’s regulatory improvement plan
• Leading, supporting and developing an established staff team
• Overseeing care planning, compliance, budgets and quality assurance
• Working closely with senior operational and therapeutic teams
• Creating a safe, stable and child-focused environment

Essential requirements:

• At least three years’ experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
• A successful history of managing a service rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted
• Strong safeguarding, regulatory and compliance knowledge
• Level 5 Leadership and Management or Level 3/4 Children and Young People’s Workforce/Residential Childcare
• Experience supporting children with complex trauma or emotional and behavioural needs
• The leadership skills required to manage service improvement and cultural change

The role is predominantly Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, although flexibility will be required according to the needs of the service. There is a shared local on-call rota, approximately one week in every six to eight weeks, with regional management support available.
