Salary: £51,000–£59,600 plus up to £16,000 annual bonus
Bright Selection is recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established five-bed children’s residential home supporting young people with learning disabilities, autism, non-verbal communication needs and behaviours that may challenge.

The home is fully occupied, rated Good by Ofsted and has no current operational concerns. It benefits from a stable staff team, good staff retention and an experienced Deputy Manager who has worked at the service for approximately four years.
This is an opportunity to take over a settled home and continue building on its strong foundations while maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

The role will include:

  • Leading the day-to-day operation of the home
  • Maintaining the home’s Good Ofsted rating and driving continued improvement
  • Ensuring robust safeguarding and regulatory compliance
  • Leading, developing and supporting the established staff team
  • Overseeing personalised care planning and positive outcomes for young people
  • Managing budgets, rotas, recruitment and quality assurance
  • Working closely with regional management and therapeutic services

Essential requirements:

  • At least three years’ experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
  • A successful history of managing a service rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted
  • Experience supporting children with learning disabilities
  • Strong safeguarding and regulatory knowledge
  • Level 5 Leadership and Management or Level 3/4 Children and Young People’s Workforce/Residential Childcare
  • A consistent and child-focused leadership approach

The role is predominantly Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, although flexibility will be required according to the needs of the home. There is a shared local on-call rota, approximately one week in every six to eight weeks, with regional management support available.
