We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a children's residential home in Lancashire.

The Role

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance are maintained.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the day-to-day operation of the children's home
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children and young people
  • Recruiting, mentoring, and developing a high-performing staff team
  • Ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding legislation, and company policies
  • Managing staff performance, quality assurance, and continuous service improvement
  • Building positive relationships with children, families, social workers, and external professionals
  • Driving the home towards Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior role within a children's residential EBD setting
  • Previous leadership or management experience within a children's home
  • Experience of Ofsted registrations, inspections, or both
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, children's legislation, and Ofsted regulations
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or an equivalent recognised qualification)
  • Hold or be willing to complete the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Right to work in the UK (No sponsorship available)

Desirable

  • 5+ years' experience within children's residential care
  • Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs
  • Proven track record of achieving or maintaining Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings
