A supportive director. A team that works really well together. And real room to grow.
If you’re a domiciliary care manager who’s tired of firefighting on your own, this one’s worth a look.
This is a highly rated, owner-run, established home care service in North London. Their Registered Manager is relocating after 3 great years, so they’re looking for the next person to take the lead and grow the service with them, for the long term.
WHY THIS ONE’S DIFFERENT
- You’re properly supported. A hands-on, supportive director and a settled office team who work well together. You won’t be carrying the service on your own
- No weekend on-call. You’d only step in on weekday on-call if it’s really needed
- Mostly private clients. Around 75-80% private, the rest local authority and CHC. Less commissioner pressure, more focus on quality
- Room to grow, and grow with it. The owner is ambitious and plans to expand into new areas. If you want to build something, not just maintain it, this is the place
WHAT YOU’LL GET
- £43,000 - £48,000 depending on experience (up to £50k for an exceptional candidate)
- Quarterly KPI bonus of £750, up to £3,000 a year after probation
- Mileage at 38p per mile
- Free on-site parking
- Private counselling and wellbeing support
- Company pension
- 28 days’ holiday including bank holidays
THE ROLE
- Leading the service: running an established, busy branch and making sure care is safe, consistent and person-centred
- CQC and quality: keeping the service inspection ready through audits, spot checks, care plan reviews and good record keeping
- Leading the team: supporting your deputy/senior coordinator, coordinators and supervisors, with regular supervisions and a focus on keeping good staff
- Families and clients: being the person families trust, handling assessments, reviews and concerns calmly and quickly
- Partners: building strong relationships with Barnet Council, CHC and health professionals
- Growth: working with the director to bring in new clients, grow care hours and help launch the service in new areas
- Safeguarding and compliance: owning safeguarding, medication, risk assessments and incident reporting
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager in domiciliary care / home care
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care
- Strong CQC knowledge and inspection experience
- A calm, supportive way of leading people
