This role is ideal for an experienced Registered Manager with a strong background in elderly care and a proven track record of leading a care home. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a medium-sized service, maintaining high standards of care while supporting the continued success and development of the home.
The home is stable, has a strong staff retention record and received a Good CQC rating at its most recent inspection.
Key Responsibilities of the Registered Manager:
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the care home.
- Lead, motivate and develop the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
- Maintain consistently high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure effective communication across the home and promote an open and supportive management culture.
- Drive occupancy and develop positive relationships with referral sources and external professionals.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards across the service.
- Support the recruitment, induction, supervision and development of staff.
- Build strong relationships with residents, relatives, staff and external professionals.
- Work closely with senior management to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure the home remains compliant with relevant legislation, policies and best practice.
- Maintain a positive, professional and accountable culture across the service.
- Previous experience working as a Registered Manager within an elderly care setting.
- Proven experience managing and leading a care team.
- Strong understanding of CQC requirements and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A confident and approachable management style.
- Ability to motivate, develop and inspire staff.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A nursing qualification is not essential for this position.
